2022-2023 Admissions information
Two ways to apply - online or paper application
ACSA offers an online version of the application, as well as a traditional paper application. Both versions require the same information. There are links below for both types of applications. You may print the paper application at home, or obtain a paper application at ACSA or from the secretary at Nome Elementary School during school hours.
IMPORTANT
A receipt number will be given to you when the application is received. It is your responsibility to ensure that the application was received – your receipt number is your assurance that your application will be entered in the lottery. If you complete the online application, your receipt number will be emailed to you within 2 days (weekends excluded). If you turn in the paper application at ACSA, you will be given your receipt number at that time.
HAVE QUESTIONS OR NEED FURTHER INFORMATION?
Members of our Academic Policy Committee (APC) are happy to help you. Members of the committee are past and current parents of ACSA students and can answer your questions from a parent's perspective about our school and its operation . We are fully enrolled for 2022-2023. However, you may submit an application that will be entered in a waiting pool for vacancies that may occur during the year.
Online applicationYou may elect to complete your application online, using the link below. Please note the following:
Lottery ProcessA. All new applications will be held without numbers between April lotteries.
B. Lotteries will proceed as follows: Applications are sorted first by grade level, and then by the following enrollment priority categories within grade level: 1.) Children of ACSA certified staff, 2.) Siblings of enrolled ACSA students, 3.) Founding Family children, and 4.) District-wide applications. Openings are filled first from these priority categories in the order given. When applications exceed the remaining openings, the openings are filled by random lottery, where each applicant has an equal chance of being drawn. After all openings are filled, applications not chosen remain in separate waiting pools determined by the grade level and the lottery date. C. After each lottery, families will be notified of their status and advised that they must notify the school if they wish to remain in the waiting pool. At that time they should provide updated information (address, telephone number, etc.) if necessary. |
Paper ApplicationA paper application is available for you to print at home. (Paper applications are also available at ACSA and from the secretary at Nome Elementary School.) Only paper applications received by one of these two methods will be accepted:
DO NOT MAIL the application.
DO NOT use NPS inter-office mail to submit the application. |
